The only marks on the jersey for Adidas should be the small version of the name either on the back of the neck or the bottom of the back. That could include a small patch showing their 3 stripes.
Commemorative patches are temporary, are approved by the League and do not constitute advertising by paid sponsors.

Small market teams, that don't make much $, why not..make them do it..
Teams in the +, that actually have the ability to make a profit, and can cover there overhead costs....it should be at there discretion..I hate Montreal,Boston,Detroit..and so on.. but to put advertising on classic cut jerseys is ridiculous!!

Relax, Bettman said that it's not something they are looking at, just like expansion.

It is going to happen, and when it does, I hope is it not as stupid looking as what some leagues are doing in Europe.

Teams may make a few million in jersey advertising, but how much $$ will they potentially lose in jersey sales? Regardless if the can buy them with or without those ads.
